DESCRIPTION:Ravel\, Beethoven\, Hintersteininger\nMayumi Seiler: violin\, Min-Jeong Koh: violin\, Hezekiah Leung: viola\, Rachel Mercer: cello\nThe inaugural concert of the Alliance String Quartet is composed of Canada’s best and established string players. \nMembers of the quartet are either soloists\, past quartet competition winners\, experienced chamber music perform- ers\, or some of whom now hold principal positions in Canada’s best orchestras\, the Toronto Symphony and the NAC Orchestra in Ottawa. \nThe Alliance quartet will be performing the gems of string quartet repertoire\, Ravel’s quartet\, Beethoven’s energetic op.18 no.6\, along with Canadian composer Hintersteininger’s beautiful work named “The Growing Season” for string quartet.
